WCFW 2018 – Betsuni Nomi
2018 fall/winter Clothing line

I am so happy to announce that our first collection for Betsuni will be debuting at Western Canada Fashion Week on September 27, 2018!
This is Ames’ & my first original collection of Japanese Fashion inspired clothing collection consisting of a caped kimono, unique yukata, and colorful hakama style pants.
the story
After we finished a few costume commission pieces, Ames and I designed two Japanese Fashion inspired tops – the Inked wrapped crop top & the Butterfly Fanfare Yukata.
We popped them up on our website and poof! They were quickly purchased!
So, we decided to create a whole collection themed around something interesting and launch it at a fashion week to better gauge the interest for our work. That’s how Betsuni Nomi was born!
This collection has 12 outifts themed around beverages. We have teamed up with Spirit of the Wench to come up with drink recipes to match each outfit!
If you want to see the pieces before they debut at Fashion Week in Edmonton, visit here: Betsuni.

That special something
Betsuni Nomi is a western, contemporary twist on traditional Japanese wear. We create everyday garments with Japanese silhouettes paired with contemporary fabrics.
